About Us

Ext_Front1Formed from a 17th Century farmhouse and barn that have been carefully restored and renovated to retain their original character, Scammonden Activity Centre provides comfortable purpose-designed self catering accommodation for groups of up to 42 people.

The Centre has a fully-equipped professional-standard kitchen; a separate larder with a refrigerator, freezer and lots of storage space; a dining area and a large lounge or study area.  A spacious games room on the lower ground floor can be used for lectures, talks and team meetings. There are also separate male/female toilets, changing rooms, ample showers and washing facilities, as well as a drying room for wet outdoor gear.

Sleeping accommodation in the Centre’s main buildings consists of six dormitory-style bedrooms, with a number of two-tier bunk beds in each room.

Three of the bedrooms have sleeping facilities for eight people while the other three bedrooms sleep four people. Each bedroom is equipped with adequate storage and hanging facilities for clothes and other personal items.

Additional to the bunk rooms, there is a separate self contained en-suite room with its own separate entrance, which has accommodation for an additional six people.
